Today during our Math period, we began talking about the 3 types of geometric transformations that you can make to shapes. There were a number of students away today so I wanted to share a Google Doc that I created with the class today which explains the 3 types of transformations. Spend some time looking over this with your child. Ask them to name all 3 and explain all 3 transformations to you. You can access the Google Doc here.
Today we also played a virtual "game" that helped the students visualize the transformations. Here are the games and the virtual manipulatives for the students to try out at home:
